In celebration of its first anniversary, de Luca Trattoria & Bar in Plaza Senayan, South Jakarta has unveiled a tasty set lunch guaranteed to whet the appetite of every Italian food aficionado in town
Ever since opening its doors in May 2011, de Luca – together with neighboring Monolog Quality Coffee Co. – has transformed the area near Plaza Senayan’s Palm Gate Entrance into a chic ‘food alley’ where urbanites gather to socialize and unwind both during weekday and weekends.
The cozy restaurant morphs into a bar during after hours, managed by one of Indonesia’s award-winning sommeliers and offering a sizable variety of wine, aperitifs, spirits and liqueurs. Signature drinks include Red Beet Martini, Orange Blossom and the Bubble Gum, which features homemade bubble gum liqueur mixed with watermelon, passion fruit and vodka
In the kitchen, food preparation is headed by Chef Mitsuhashi Hayato, who was classically trained in Italy and uses only the freshest high quality local and imported ingredients.
Recently opened in Plaza Senayan, Monolog is like a little slice of heaven plucked from Melbourne or London. From the restaurant interior, food to the rustic fare, the coffee shop exudes a warmth and charm reminiscent of a coffee shop in those cities.
And Monolog Quality Coffee Co., the iconic coffee shop and all-day diner in Plaza Senayan, South Jakarta, is celebrating its first anniversary with a photo competition that allows loyal patrons to showcase their creativity – and win prizes from their favorite hangout spot.
The photo competition, bearing on the theme “Show Your Love for Monolog”, is seen as a way of endorsing the sense of community and lifestyle among Monolog’s trendy and artsy clientele. Entrants can submit their pictures between June 1 and July 8, 2012, and stand a chance to win a pair of tickets to Bali, a year’s supply of free coffee, or a cash voucher from Monolog.

And what I ate? Were salads and French fries. I like the salads coz it tastes so fresh, light and a little bit sweet. Good composition of olive oil and vinegar, and nice combination between the corn and lemon crushed
